Every now and then, there comes a time when I tend to take stock of my life – personally, and professionally. Truth be told, I do it (a lot!) more often than I should. I am what you call ‘the eternal perfectionist’ who strives to put her best out in every thing she does… only for her to realize time and again that she’s not ‘supergirl’ and there’s only so much she can do and handle at a time. Not stating the very obvious, I tend to push myself hard…which has its ups – like I set high goals and achieve (most of) them but it also has its downs – like I set myself up for disappointment every time I don’t achieve some of the impossible targets I set for myself. One item that made my checklist during the stock take was my blog and how I approached it. I knew from the start that it could be better, but I didn’t know where I was going and what I wanted to do with it. So instead of handling many large projects at a time, I decided to focus on one and get my CPA certification out of the way first. So here I am, almost a year later with so many absences in between included, pressing the rights buttons to rewind. refresh. and restart my blogging journey in a way where I feel like I am putting out my best. This is all too exciting and nerve-racking at the same time – because along with this decision also comes a commitment I’d like to make to myself – to be more regular in this new path I am choosing.
Wish me luck and I hope you’ll stick around long enough to see what all’s in store!
Much love,
Tivoli
